When the lovely Freya from Lagom contacted me a few weeks ago to see if we might be interested in stocking her beautiful prints, it was a no-brainer.  For one thing, they're absolutely divine, and for another, Freya is truly following her passion - and doing good at the same time.  Read on to find out more x

Combining shades of Sandstone and Canteloupe, the Marrakesh II day is the perfect pairing to Marrakesh I's night.  All of Freya's prints are hand drawn and printed in New Zealand.

The Arizona and Canyon prints draw on visions of rattan, sandy textures and organic textures.  These pieces bring warmth into contemporary spaces and work well as a pair, or on their own.

Lagom Design Studio was born out of a maelstrom of late nights, early mornings, while holding down two demanding jobs which led to work, work, work.  When it eventually became too much, Freya found some space, lit a fragrant candle and started to sketch.  Her first sketch still hangs on her wall as inspiration and she now combines her passion for design, with a desire to give back.

For each print sold, a donation is made to Take 3 for the Sea, an organisation dedicated to cleaning up beaches through encouraging everyone to take away three pieces of rubbish from the beach.  We like.

Lagom Design Studio prints are sitting pretty in store alongside pieces from Leden Design and Just SouthWest.  If your walls need a little lifting, take a look through our Wall Art collection.

We had a glorious trip down country during the school holidays - and were so blessed with the weather!  We went to Hawke's Bay and had the lunch of a lifetime at the beautiful Craggy Range - I can highly recommend making time for this if you're ever visiting.  Then on to Martinborough, Cape Palliser and Greytown, which we loved.  More gift shops per capita than anywhere in New Zealand - well at least that's how it seemed (I was in heaven!) - and then on to my hometown of Wellington, where we caught up with our daughter, who is back at University.  The capital really turned it on for us with no wind and a glassy harbour!  Finally, an overnight at the heaving Taupo and home.

It was great to see so many New Zealanders getting out and seeing this beautiful country, everyone seems to be taking the Shop Local mantra to heart - and for that we are all grateful.  Take care, Jude x
